We will pick you up from your hotel between 3:45 – 4:00 a.m. and transfer you to the Ollantaytambo train station. We will board the train at approximately 6:10 a.m. and continue our journey for about 1 hour and 30 minutes until Km 104. This is the official control point where we will need to show our ORIGINAL identification and entrance tickets. Then, we will begin the famous Inca Trail at the archaeological site of Chachabamba. We will hike uphill for about three hours to reach the archaeological site of Wiñayhuayna at an altitude of 2,750 meters (8,694 feet). After this beautiful place, we will have a break for lunch. We will continue our hike towards the famous “Intipunku” (Sun Gate). From there, we will have a breathtaking view of the majestic Inca city of Machu Picchu. After taking memorable photos, we will take the bus to “Aguas Calientes” (Machu Picchu town), where we will spend the night. Meals: (Lunch / Dinner).
After breakfast at the hotel, we will take the first bus to the Inca city of Machu Picchu. Upon presenting our tickets at the Machu Picchu control point, we will begin our guided tour of the archaeological site for approximately 2 hours. After a memorable experience at Machu Picchu, we will return to Aguas Calientes to take our train back to Ollantaytambo. From there, our transportation will be waiting to take us back to the city of Cusco. Meals: (Breakfast).
